The first is to store your key fob out or range of your vehicle in a signal-shielding container when at home. This makes it impossible for anyone to copy the signal. Similarly, there are signal-shielding pouches that you can put your key fob into when you’re out and about. Some key fobs also have a signal turn-off function and/or motion sensors, both of which make it impossible to copy the signal to your vehicle.
