Alloy wheels are more expensive than steel wheels. However, they are very light and very strong. This has numerous benefits, from increased efficiency to less stress on a vehicle’s suspension. Alloy wheels are also more heat resistant, dissipating heat better than steel wheels. Unlike steel wheels, though, repairing alloy wheels is difficult. Often, the wheel will have to be completely replaced if damage is bad enough. In the case that an alloy wheel does need to be replaced, it will be much more expensive than a steel one would be.
